Our company began 12 years ago after Amy's investigation into residential care options for adults with disabilities.  Having a son with autism, she immediately began her hunt for the best care facility to ensure him a positive adult life.  Disappointed with the lack of professional staffing she found, Amy decided to make it her personal mission to recreate the standards for adult care.... and so she did!

Person First Adult Family Homes is the first and only adult care facility with our outstanding professional credentials. All staff not only meet the state standards, but exceed the ideal professionals.  Amy is a former Professor for the Department of Special Education at Gonzaga University and works to promote positive daily living skills for adults with disabilities.  Not only will new functional living skills be acquired, they may also generalize into other settings, with other people, and be maintained.  Whether the life skill is acquisition of language and communication, or how to prepare a favorite food, it is one step closer to promoting independence for your special adult.
